Biographical Sketch
Paul Scott, M.D., M.P.H.
Dr. Paul Scott leads the USMHRP HIV Epidemiology, Surveillance and Threat Assessment Task Area. He served as a Major in the United States Army Medical Corps, where he was a preventive medicine and family practice physician. He has been instrumental in developing continued support of the Program’s threat assessment and epidemiology efforts among the U.S. military combatant commands. Particular research interests include the impact of infectious diseases on military operations and readiness.
Dr. Scott received his M.D degree from George Washington University in 1994 and an M.P.H, in 2003 from Johns Hopkins University. He is board certified in preventive medicine and family practice. Dr. Scott completed his general preventive medicine residency in 2003 at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research and his family practice residency in 1997 at Madigan Army Medical Center, Ft. Lewis, WA.
