The Makerere University Walter Reed Project (MUWRP) in Uganda recently participated in the Kampala Marathon. This Marathon attracted a total of 10,800 participants, and MUWRP fielded 30 participants on a corporate team.
Participating in this public event helped promote the MUWRP as an organization and increase community understanding about their research activities.
MUWRP staff and youth team members distributed brochures at the event and discussed their work with other participants.
